The Millers had a bid of £125,000 turned down by The Stags earlier this month, but now Ronnie Moore has upped his offer by £25,000.
"We are not going to raise our offer any more now because I think he is worth £150,000 at the moment," said Moore.
"He is a big talent and he can go on to bigger things but if Mansfield are expecting £300,000 for him he is going to be there for a very long time."
Moore has confirmed he has an interest in Reading's transfer-listed forward Nathan Tyson and also revealed he has made enquires regarding The Royals' former Miller Kevin Watson.
"I have spoken to Steve Coppell and both players are available on either a loan deal or a permanent move," added Moore.
"It is whether they want to come here or not. It is not a dead duck though and we will be making plenty more phone calls within the next few days."
