Cureton set for English return

Former Reading striker Jamie Cureton is set for a return to England after having his contract with South Korean club Busan Icons terminated.

Cureton has endured a frustrating spell at Busan after failing to settle in South Korea since his move in the summer.

The former Norwich star scored only four goals in 20 games and failed to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up.

The player's English representative Nick Ellis revealed that both parties agreed to mutually cancel his contract.

"Curo just does not like the lifestyle out there and he's struggled with the language, so the club have agreed to terminate his contract a year early," said Ellis.

"He also has three kids over here, so it was agreed with Busan manager Ian Porterfield that he could leave."

Division Two promotion hopefuls Queens Park Rangers are believed to leading the chase to sign the 28-year-old.
