Neil Warnock insists he has not revived his interest in Reading striker Nicky Forster.Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock insists he has not revived his interest in Reading striker Nicky Forster.
Warnock has previously expressed an admiration for Forster, who will be leaving The Madejski Stadium on a free transfer.
Ipswich are keen on the forward, while there have been reports that Warnock will try again to bring Forster to Bramall Lane.
But Blades chief Warnock admits he does not want to sign Forster, nor Stephen McPhail and Alan Lee, who have also been linked with the club.
"It seems people are just using me," said Warnock.
"Every day there seems to be someone new coming to us.
"Nicky Forster at Reading is one and we have no interest in him. I was supposed to be after Stephen McPhail of Barnsley and Alan Lee of Cardiff but I have no interest in them."
Warnock is trying to lure Watford ace Heidar Helguson up the M1 but he feels his Championship rivals are using The Blades to tempt other clubs into bids for the Iceland international.
He added: "We made a bid for him that we felt was more than adequate and within an hour of us making it, it was up on Teletext.
"So I can only assume they are hoping that Spurs or West Ham or whoever will come in with a bigger offer."
