Kitson suffers new setback

Reading ace Dave Kitson has suffered a setback in his bid to return to action.

Reading ace Dave Kitson has suffered a setback in his bid to return to action.

Kitson has been out of action since the opening day of the season after suffering a knee injury in the win over Middlesbrough.

The big striker was close to returning to fitness from the knee injury, but he has now suffered a hamstring blow in training.

Reading physio Jon Fearns has admitted Kitson faces a further four to six weeks on the sidelines.

"Kits over-stretched going for a cross in training on Friday and has pulled the hamstring in his other leg, it's a minor tear," Fearns told the club`s official website.

"Before this he was training and therefore probably about two weeks from competitive football, now it will be around four to six weeks from here."
