Reading boss Steve Coppell has no plans to add to his squad before the loan transfer deadline on Thursday evening.
The Royals boss has recently added to his options with the signings of Glen Little and Dave Kitson as he targets an immediate return to the Premier League.
Reading are currently third in the Championship table, four points adrift of Birmingham in second but with the benefit of a game in hand.
Coppell believes he already has the talent at his disposal to climb into the automatic promotion places and has challenged his players to prove their worth.
When asked if was looking to bolster his squad, Coppell told the club's official website: "Almost definitely not.
"I look at the squad we have and sooner or later you need to stop collecting players that might just give you comfort or end up sitting in the stand.
"The squad is good enough to take us where we want to go. We have sufficient depth, we're not vulnerable and now it's time to show if we're going to be good enough.
"There are seven games left and we have to show that we're capable enough, in a pressure situation, to mount a serious challenge and be promoted come May."
Full-back Liam Rosenior is facing three to four weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on two broken bones in his hand.
Rosenior suffered the injury shortly before he was sent off in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace, with the red card earning him a two-game suspension.
The defender will miss the trip to Coventry and Good Friday's home clash with Sheffield United, but could be back in action against Blackpool on Easter Monday or Barnsley the following Saturday.
