Appiah decides against Blackpool switch

Sky Sports understands Blackpool target Kwesi Appiah has shunned a move to Bloomfield Road. Blackpool agreed a fee with Margate for the highly-rated forward earlier this week as the Seasiders looked to win the race for his signature. Appiah is currently the top goalscorer in the country and his strike rate has been better than a goal a game. A number of clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on Appiah, but Blackpool were in pole position to land him after agreeing a fee for the former Peterborough man. Howver, Appiah has ruled out a move to Blackpool as he does not want to move too far from Margate. "I am very happy that Blackpool made an approach to sign mem but at this stage of my career I don't think I am ready to uproot so far away from home," Appiah told Sky Sports. "Hopefully my club Margate can agree something with a club that is closer to home so I don't have too much upheaval."
