Fuller's booking rescinded

Portsmouth striker Ricardo Fuller has had his booking at Blackburn rescinded.

Portsmouth striker Ricardo Fuller has had his booking at Blackburn rescinded.

The Jamaican international was harshly booked late on during the 1-0 defeat at Ewood Park last weekend.

Referee Mark Clattenburg cautioned Fuller for diving in the box after it appeared he had been barged to the floor by Blackburn goalkeeper Brad Friedel.

Portsmouth appealed against the decision and after viewing the incident on video Clattenburg has decided to scrap the booking.

Fratton Park chief executive Peter Storrie was delighted that Fuller had escaped any punishment.

"It was very disappointing and firstly I thought that the referee can't have had a clear view," Storrie told the club's official website.

"We are happy for Ricardo because that redresses justice but we won't benefit from it in the way we should have as a team.

"Let's hope that over a season these things balance themselves out."
