The youngster is keen to build up his experience with The Harriers and hopes it could lead to a permanent contract away from Fratton Park.
"I've settled in well, everyone here has made it easy for me to settle in," Cooper told the club's match day magazine.
"My contract is up at Portsmouth at the end of the season anyway so staying here, if it doesn't work out at Portsmouth, will give me options elsewhere."
