Tony Pulis has raided his former club Portsmouth to bring two new faces to Stoke City.
Promotion-chasing City will be bolstered by the arrivals, although Pulis is keen to stress that the purchases are with a view to the future.
Indeed, Anthony Pulis, the son of the City manager, has immediately been farmed out to Torquay United for the remainder of the campaign.
The other player involved in the double deal is Lewis Buxton.
The 21-year-old defender could make his debut in the Boxing Day fixture with Preston. He was originally linked with a move to The Britannia Stadium back in October.
Both signings have put pen-to-paper on two-and-a-half year contracts.
