The West London side have tabled a bid for the Portsmouth star as they look to solve their problematic left back spot.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has admitted he is willing to listen to offers for Taylor and the news has alerted teams to the defender's availability.
It has sparked interest from other clubs with several suitors ready to rival Fulham for Taylor's signature.
The player's agent Willie McKay revealed he is speaking to a host of clubs about Taylor after Portsmouth made it clear they would sell the former Luton star.
"I am speaking to five or six Premiership clubs about Matty," McKay told skysports.com.
"With Portsmouth confirming they are ready to listen to offers for Matty a number of clubs have contacted me about him.
"Fulham have tabled a bid for Matty and we will wait and see what happens, but he is keeping his options open.
"Matty is a unique player as he can play at left back, left wing or midfield and he is English.
"I know he has a lot of admirers."
