Cherries sign Ulsterman

Bournemouth have signed Portsmouth youngster Daryl Fordyce on a month's loan.

Bournemouth have gone to their South Coast rivals Portsmouth to sign Northern Ireland youth international Daryl Fordyce on loan.

The attacking midfielder has been a regular in Pompey's reserves this season and has appeared for his country's Under-19 squad.

The 19-year-old will now have the chance to earn some first-team football with Sean O'Driscoll's Cherries for the next month and is delighted with the move to the League One club.

"It went well in training this morning, and I feel I fitted in okay," Fordyce told Bournemouth's official website.

"They all seem a good bunch of lads and I'm looking forward to playing here.

"The manager has a good reputation, and you can tell from training that Bournemouth play good football."
