Peter Storrie says Uruguayan striker Dario Silva lost interest in playing for Portsmouth.
Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie reckons striker Dario Silva lost all interest in domestic football after Uruguay failed to qualify for the World Cup finals.
Silva will have his Pompey contract ripped up having gone missing for five days after being flown out to Spain for medical treatment on an ankle injury.
This latest absence comes hot-on-the-heels of the 33-year-old's five-day disappearing act after the South Americans fell at the final World Cup qualifying hurdle in Australia.
"He is undisciplined unfortunately," said Storrie. "Twice he came back to us late after going away.
"I think Dario played very well for us until Uruguay got knocked out [of the World Cup]. After that he was on a downer and I don't think we managed to see the same player again."
Silva made just 13 Premiership appearances for Portsmouth after joining them from Sevilla during the summer.
