Portsmouth player John Viafara returns arfter unsucesful loan at Real Socieded.
John Viafara has returned to Portsmouth after an unsuccessful loan spell at Real Socieded.
Viafara joined Portsmouth in 2005 but after manager Harry Redknapp took over he was allowed to leave on loan after just 15 appearances.
After six months on loan with Primera Liga side Real Sociedad the midfielder did not do enough to feature in Jose Mari Bakero's future plans.
The Colombian player was hoping to impress while at the Basque side, but a lack of appearances and disappointing performances led to the club refusing their option on the player.
"Colombian player John Viafara will not continue at Real Sociedad, with the club having turned down the offer to buy his sporting rights," read a club statement on their official website.
