Simao and Manuel Fernandes are yet to complete their moves away from Benfica.
Benifca duo Simao Sabrosa and Manuel Fernandes are yet to complete their moves away from Estadio Da Luz.
Simao has been locked in talks with Valencia for most of the weekend, while Fernandes's is still working on a move to Portsmouth - despite failing a medical earlier this month.
Valencia have confirmed that they will continue to push forward with a deal for the winger and hope to conclude his signing in the coming days.
Los Che issued a statement stating that talks are continuing between themselves, the payer and Benfica.
"In reaction to reports published recently, Valencia continue to maintain good relations with Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira and the player's representative," Valencia said on their website.
"The club are continuing in their efforts to sign the player."
Likewise with Fernandes, Portsmouth are still looking to seal a deal for the 21-year-old midfielder after they agreed a £10 million deal - only for his first medical to show up problems.
"Of course, I still want him here, he is a good player," said Pompey boss Harry Redknapp.
"He would be suited to playing English football and he would be an asset to us. He is an interesting footballer."
