Andy Griffin has confirmed his desire to remain at Stoke once his loan deal expires.
Andy Griffin has confirmed his desire to remain at Stoke once his loan deal expires in November.
The 27-year-old moved to the Britannia Stadium from Portsmouth on an initial two-month loan deal that is due to come to an end in two weeks' time.
Griffin has made eight appearances for the Championship outfit since his September switch and would be keen to make the move permanent.
"I don't know what kind of contract they would offer, if they offer me one, but I'd be a fool to say I wouldn't listen to anything Stoke have got to say," Griffin told the Sentinel.
"I'm enjoying myself at the moment and everyone knows I'm based in the area. And when your personal performances are alright, and the team is picking up wins, it's a good place to be and puts a smile on your face.
"It's not really in my hands though, it's down to Portsmouth and Stoke City. The manager has just said he's been happy with me since I came.
"When I first came last month my fitness was probably at an all-time low and I wasn't playing as well as I know I can, but now I've played a few games and my fitness and sharpness is back."
