Douala to end Pompey 'nightmare'

Rodolph Douala admits he is desperate to leave Portsmouth in January.

Rodolph Douala admits he is desperate to end his Portsmouth 'nightmare' in the January transfer window.

The Cameroon international has failed to settle in England since moving on loan from Sporting in the summer and is now determined to end his spell on the South Coast as soon as possible.

Douala has only played twice in the Premiership under Harry Redknapp and he could now be on borrowed time at Fratton Park after lifting the lid on his Premiership struggles.

The wide-man has already spoken with Sporting about a possible early return to Portugal and has no intention of staying until the end of the season or completing a permanent move to the Premiership.

"[I want] to leave Portsmouth because I am living a nightmare," Douala told the Portuguese press.

"I am very unhappy about my situation.

"I do not hold anything against the club but everyone knows I do not desire to go to England.

"I have only played two matches and the supporters have not seen if I am a player or not.

"I have spoken with Sporting about this [leaving Portsmouth], I desire a solution this week."
