Alexandre Gaydamak has promised to back Harry Redknapp in the transfer market.
Portsmouth owner Alexandre Gaydamak has promised to give his full backing to manager Harry Redknapp in the January transfer window.
The Pompey boss has already signed Djimi Traore from Charlton for £1million and Arnold Mvuemba on loan from Rennes, but Redknapp has more irons in the fire as he looks to strengthen his options at Fratton Park.
The former West Ham boss has now handed Gaydamak his wish-list of targets and the Pompey owner insists he will do all he can to bring the required players to the South Coast.
"Transfer decisions are Harry's and only Harry's. That is clear," said Gaydamak.
"I have a list of players he requested and we will do our best to bring in the players he's asked for."
One target is Charlton defender Souleymane Diawara, with Redknapp keen to set up a loan swap involving Pompey fringe player Andy O'Brien.
However Fifa rules look set to scupper any deal as it has emerged that Diawara was in Sochaux's team before his move to The Valley in the summer, and players are not permitted to turn out for three clubs between 1st July and 30th June.
