Fredi Kanoute has vowed to stay at Sevilla amid rumours of a return to England.Fredi Kanoute has vowed to stay at Sevilla amid rumours of a return to the Premier League.
The former West Ham and Tottenham striker has been linked with a £7million move to either Newcastle or Portsmouth.
Harry Redknapp is interested in the Mali international, but is wary of spending such an amount on a player who turns 30 in September.
But Kanoute appears set to give any bids from England short shrift after pledging to stick with dual cup winners Sevilla.
After scoring the only goal against Getafe in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday, Kanoute outlined his intention to stay with the Uefa Cup winners.
"I've got two years left on my contract and I'm not planning on moving from here," Kanoute told reporters.
"I've read a lot of things that aren't true.
"I've had two great seasons here and now we've won another trophy.
"My aim is to keep on fighting for Sevilla."
