Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is waiting for the right opportunity as speculation continues over his future.
According to Tuttosport in Italy, AC Milan are interested in the Ghana World Cup star and are ready to make an offer in the region of 7million euros (£5.8m).
Genoa are also keen to take Boateng to Italy and the 23-year-old is prepared to take his time as he is confident a good deal will materialise.
"I am relaxed and preparing, just waiting for the right team," Boateng told skysports.com.
"I can choose where to play after the World Cup where we could have played the semi-finals.
"I am ready to express my talent anywhere I can play."
If Genoa win the chase for Boateng he will become the latest signing in an impressive summer recruitment drive at the Stadio Luigis Ferraris.
Talks over a deal appeared to stall late last month but Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is still keen to bring in Boateng, and could then loan him out.
"We've got a lot of players because we were short in some positions," he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
"We'll also (try to) take Boateng, but we may give him to another team."
Brazilian full-back Rafinha joined Genoa from Schalke on Wednesday and is delighted with the switch.
"I knew of the interest of Genoa and recently I have followed much Italian football and, in particular, the Rossoblu team," Rafinha told Il Secolo XIX.
"I come to a big club and, from what I have seen, in a beautiful city."
