Bees and Taylor charged by FA

Barnet and striker Charlie Taylor face FA misconduct charges after a "mass confrontation" followed their 2-1 win against Aldershot.

The club are accused of "failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour" and have until 4pm on Friday to answer the charge. The standard penalty for an admission of the charge is a £1,000 fine. Taylor, a late substitute for match-winning goalscorer Ricky Holmes, has been charged with spitting at an opponent - an incident that was not seen by the match official and has until 6pm on Wednesday to answer the charge. The automatic penalty for a player admitting the charge is a three-match suspension. The club announced on Saturday it would take "appropriate action" against any player found guilty of wrongdoing.
