Rotherham midfielder Gareth Evans has been ruled out of action until the new year due to an ankle injury.

Evans, who sustained the injury in last weekend's 3-2 win at former club Bradford, will not learn the full extent of the damage until he sees a specialist next week. Millers manager Andy Scott told the club's official website: "It isn't very good news at all. Gareth is going to be out for a while. "We got the scan back and the results aren't great, but we're still waiting to see the consultant and we also need to see the specialist next Tuesday, so the full extent of the injury will be discussed then. "At the moment we are looking at the new year, which is a big blow because Gareth has been fantastic for us." Evans, a free summer signing from Bradford, has scored six goals in all competitions for Rotherham this season.
