Barnet's Ricky Holmes knows that the club will have a real fight on their hands to keep hot-shot strike partner Izale McLeod beyond January.
The former Derby and Charlton man has notched 18 times in just 28 appearances, despite the Bees' early season struggles.
McLeod's scoring prowess has alerted several Championship and League One clubs to his potential availability, with the January transfer window set to swing open.
Holmes told skysports.com that clubs are bound to be keeping tabs on the 27-year-old, but hopes that he will remain at Underhill for the foreseeable future.
"Everyone has got to be looking at him because his goal-to-game ration is phenomenal and he has kept himself incredibly fit too," he said.
"I'm sure that there will be teams looking at him and hopefully we can hang on to him because he is a prized asset for us.
"I don't think that the goals will ever stop to be honest because in Izale we have got proven goalscorer and he is absolutely on fire, with 18 already this season.
"I'm sure that he will get many more and everyone else has helped chip in as well, so scoring goals was never a problem, but the two lads who came in on loan, Hector and Paul Downing, have been unbelievable for us and they are still very young lads.
"Things are much better now and confidence has flooded back into the lads now, especially with the defenders that the gaffer brought in.
"They helped tighten things up at the back, which gives everyone a boost and thankfully we've started picking up results and climbing the table."
