Watford to land Sunderland defender
Watford are closing in on a permanent deal for Sunderland's Nyron Nosworthy, Sky Sports understands.
The 31-year-old has just returned to the Stadium of Light following a successful loan spell at Vicarage Road.
Nosworthy is one of a number of loan players that Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill wanted to cast his eye over following his appointment.
With defensive reinforcements in short supply at Sunderland, Nosworthy appeared set to challenge for first-team place.
However, Watford have since moved to try and secure the return of the central defender - affectionately known as 'The Nos'.
Now a deal appears to be close and he looks set to agree an 18-month deal with the Championship outfit.
