Tottenham have allowed centre-backs Federico Fazio and Milos Veljkovic to leave White Hart Lane on Deadline Day.

Experienced Argentinian defender Fazio has re-joined Sevilla on a loan deal for the rest of the season, with the view to a permanent return to the La Liga side in the summer.

Veljkovic, meanwhile, who is a recent graduate of Spurs' academy, has signed for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen on a permanent deal.

Sky Sports News HQ reported in December that talks between Sevilla and Tottenham had begun over the return of Fazio, the Spanish side's former captain who led them to Europa League triumph in 2014.

It is understood they have been able to agree a permanent deal for the player in this window so he has returned on an initial loan.

He made just three substitute appearances for Tottenham, two in the Premier League and one in the Europa League.
