Napoli have approached Tottenham about the possibility of signing Alex Pritchard on a permanent deal, according to Sky sources.

It is understood that two Premier League clubs have shown interest in the 23-year-old, who is expected to command a fee of around £8m.

Pritchard, who signed a four-year contract at White Hart Lane last August, joined West Brom on loan last January but made just three substitute appearances.

He spent the previous season on loan at Brentford, scoring 12 goals in 45 Championship appearances.
