Wanyama stunned Liverpool with a thunderbolt of an equaliser from fully 25-yards in Tottenham's thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday, but how fast did that ball travel?
With Rooney in the studio ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Watford, the obvious comparison was to see whether his famous volley against Newcastle in 2005 was hit harder.
That strike will stand the test of time due to the sheer ferocity of it, coupled with the fact that Rooney had been lambasting referee Neale Barry seconds earlier. Surely it hit the net at a faster speed than Wanyama's effort?
