The North London club had played down reports that they had moved for the powerful South American, who spent last season on loan at Mallorca.
However, the Depor chief insists that Spurs saw their offer rejected after the two sides failed to reach agreement on a method of payment for the deal.
"We had various offers for Pandiani including from abroad," said Lendoiro.
"The most important of these was from Tottenham, but their form of payment did not suit us as we need money quickly now.
"Pandiani contacted us and stated that he was going to stay in Mallorca or go to England.
"It's not the first time that the London club (Spurs) have shown interest in Pandiani."
The 27-year-old hit-man is now poised to complete a permanent switch to Mallorca for a fee in the region of é¼10 million, after bagging 14 goals for The Islanders last term.
Any interest Spurs had in the player looks to have died, especially since the Premiership outfit confirmed the signing of young Portuguese striker Helder Postiga on Wednesday.
