The England international has fitted in well at Spurs, after joining the club on an initial month-long loan period at the start of September.
The sacking of Glenn Hoddle cast a doubt over Konchesky's long-term future in North London, but caretaker manager and director of football David Pleat said he wanted to keep the defender at Spurs.
Charlton have agreed to Spurs' wish, with Konchesky set to stay at White Hart Lane until November.
Part of the initial deal saw Chris Perry move in the other direction, and he will spend the next four weeks at The Valley.
