The defender has started the last seven games for Spurs since his loan exchange with Chris Perry, who headed in the opposite direction to Charlton.
The left-sided star's deal will now take him up to December 13 and the game against Newcastle and the one-cap England star says he hopes to extend his White Hart Lane stay beyond even that.
"I've enjoyed it so much since I've been here and I'm glad I am staying for another month - hopefully it will end up being longer," Konchesky told the club's official website.
"I know nothing longer can happen until January and we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully something can happen here and I want it to happen here.
"I think I've done okay and the team has done well, which is a great help for me. The manager and staff have been good and that helps you settle in."
