But the young Portuguese international preferred to praise the efforts of the team as a whole rather than focus on his own personal achievement.
"I feel good. The team won and I am happy about that," Postiga told Maisfutebol.
"The goal feels special because the team won, or else what is the point of scoring?
"I am happy that the goal helped the team."
Postiga does not want to get carried away and refuses to speculate about whether his goal will mean a recall to the Portuguese national side.
"I am going to continue to work hard and that is all I can do at the moment," he continued.
"Regarding the national team, first I have to take my opportunity here and then I will think about that. That is the coach's decision."
The former Porto forward was tipped to leave Spurs during the January transfer window, mainly because he found it hard to adapt to the rigours of The Premiership.
Postiga, however, remains tight-lipped about the whole thing.
"I have been here for six months. I found it difficult at the beginning but every day I am here I feel more at home," Postiga confessed.
"I don't think I can say I have adapted to life here, but as time goes on it will come naturally.
"Am I going to have success at Tottenham? Only time will tell," he concluded.
