Speculation over the weekend intimated that Spurs were ready to offer Zamora plus cash in exchange for Hammers hit-man Jermain Defoe.
White Hart Lane boss David Pleat insists he is not aiming to bring Defoe to the club prior to the close of the transfer window but did reveal West Ham's interest in Zamora.
"It is simply not true," said Pleat of the Defoe rumours. "We have not made a bid and there is nothing happening.
"We know what we want to do and we are not involved in that. West Ham showed a bit of interest in Zamora but nothing will happen on that front."
Pleat's Upton Park counterpart Pardew, though, is upset that a discussion regarding former Brighton hot-shot Zamora has been made public.
Zamora has scored just once for Spurs, ironically against The Hammers in the Carling Cup, and has struggled to secure a place in the starting line-up since his £1.5 million move last summer.
Pardew admits he has spoken to Pleat concerning the ex-England Under-21 international but is annoyed that the matter has not remained private.
"If he (Pleat) has announced that publicly then I am a bit disappointed, but certainly I did not make a bid for him," Pardew told West Ham's official website.
"The only 'enquiry' I made about Zamora was that we had a discussion about him and it was no more than that, a bit like we discussed Gary Doherty and a few other players that perhaps are not regulars at Spurs.
"I am always discussing players with all managers. I want to know if players are in their plans or not, and it was purely that."
Meanwhile, Spurs full back Christian Ziege is closing in on a first-team comeback after playing for 90 minutes in the reserves on Monday.
Ziege has appeared just once this season due to a thigh problem, and then a knee injury suffered on his only outing in the Carling Cup.
But he now has his sights on claiming a place in the squad for Saturday's London derby with Fulham providing he suffers no setbacks in training this week.
