Postiga: I'm not third choice

Helder Postiga has revealed that his future will be away from Tottenham unless he is guaranteed more regular football under their new manager.

The Portuguese youngster is focusing on Euro 2004 after being included in Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad, and feels the style of play with the international side is better suited to his talents.

He does not feel he should be considered behind Pauleta and Nuno Gomes in the pecking order for a starting spot.

"It is not defined who is going to play," he told O Jogo. "I don't consider myself to be third option.

"I am going to work hard to seize the place.

"I am here to show my value and that I deserve an opportunity.

"Right now, I want to have maximum focus on the national team. But, if things continue as they have in the season just gone then I will not be able to stay there (at White Hart Lane) because what I really want to do is play.

"It is clear that the football there (in England) is more direct. Here it's more about short touches."
