Swindon Town have taken teenage Spurs striker Mark Yeates on a short-term loan.Swindon Town boss Andy King has taken teenage striker Mark Yeates on a short-term loan deal from Premiership club Tottenham Hotspur.
The deal is part of the agreement that the League One club had with Spurs after the North London club signed teenage defender Leigh Mills from the Wiltshire-based outfit back in July.
Yeates's loan with The Robins will allow King to take a closer look at the 19-year-old, with a view to extending the deal at The County Ground.
King was pleased that Spurs were able to fulfil their part of the Mills transfer by giving them the chance to look at the Republic of Ireland Under-21 hit-man.
"It is the first part of our loan agreement with Spurs," King told Swindon's official website.
"He will be joining us at training this (Thursday) morning where I will be able to have a further look at him before finalising a loan deal."
Yeates's move to Swindon is the second loan switch the striker has taken, having been on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion last season.
He signed a new three-year contract at White Hart Lane this summer and will hope to earn some more first team experience with Swindon.
