West Brom will fight to hang onto Zoltan Gera after dismissing claims from Hungary that Tottenham and Aston Villa are interested in buying the influential midfielder.
Gera was outstanding as Bryan Robson's Baggies avoided the drop and is expected to stay put after the threat of Championship football was averted.
Yet agent Vladan Filipovic suggested in the Hungarian media that the 26-year-old could still leave for pastures new during the close season.
"The agent quoted does not act on behalf of Zoltan and, as the manager Bryan Robson has said on numerous occasions, Zoltan is very happy here and very popular in the dressing room," said Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace.
"He is contracted to Albion for a further two years, plus an extra year option in the club's favour.
"We have had no contact from the clubs Mr Filipovic quotes - or any club - about Zoltan and we are looking to build on the squad we have, not dismantle it."
