Auxerre have confirmed that Teemu Tainio will still join Tottenham.
Auxerre have confirmed that Teemu Tainio's proposed move to Tottenham is to go ahead as planned.
The likely departure of suspended director of football Frank Arnesen to Chelsea will not affect the deal that was struck to bring the Finland midfielder to White Hart Lane this summer.
"[He will go] unless Tottenham go bankrupt," complained Guy Roux, who has stepped down as coach of the Ligue 1 club. "In which case, it would allow for him to remain."
Roux, who will still be involved with AJA, hopes Bonaventure Kalou will stay despite interest from France and England.
"If I said to you - your spouse, how much?" he told journalists. "When you are not a salesman, there is not a price."
Full back Johan Radet could be on his way to newly-promoted Nancy.
The 28-year-old defender has plenty of options available to him.
"Radet can go to all the clubs in the world, including AJA," added Roux, the man who has done so much to build Auxerre into a force in French football.
