England goalkeeper Paul Robinson is now the undisputed first choice for England.England goalkeeper Paul Robinson is now the undisputed first choice for his country after a disastrous August for David James.
The latter's performance in the second-half against Denmark in August seems to have ended his international career for good, despite the recent protestations of manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Currently, however, there is no question that Robinson should be the man between the England sticks. His total of six clean sheets from eight appearances since Euro 2004 is far superior to that of James.

As England prepare to face old rivals in the form of Wales and Northern Ireland, fans will be hoping that Robinson has little to do in the two games. But it seems as though they can rely on the burly Tottenham 'keeper as he establishes himself as the nation's premier shotstopper.
