Edgar Davids has been recalled to the Dutch squad by coach Marco van Basten.Premiership pair Edgar Davids and George Boateng have been recalled to the Netherlands squad by coach Marco van Basten.
Tottenham new boy Davids had been overlooked for selection recently, as van Basten did not believe he was in perfect shape for international football and called on him to prove himself at White Hart Lane.
Davids has made a bright start to his Premiership career and has been included in the pre-squad for the World Cup qualifiers with Czech Republic and Macedonia.
A similar comment applies to Middlesbrough man George Boateng who has caught the eye with his tenacious displays for the Teesside outfit.
The old heads have been joined by some fresh faces, with PSV Eindhoven starlet Ibrahim Afellay and Ajax youngster Urby Emanuelson handed the chance to shine.
There is also a first call for Serginho Greene who has impressed since joining Feyenoord this summer.
