The Dutchman was brought to White Hart Lane to add some steel and experience to the squad and Davids has impressed since arriving in The Premiership.
Davids impressed in the 3-2 win over Charlton at the weekend when he helped turn the game in the second half after being switched into his preferred role of central midfield.
"I have played on the left outside in the past and also behind the strikers. But for me, playing in the centre is much easier," said Davids. "It is what I am used to.
"Yes there is pressure on me, but as one of the more experienced players I enjoy it. There is a lot of responsibility and I am aware of that.
"But I am used to that after my years in Italy. If you are a foreigner in Italy, you have to step up. You have to be better than everyone else.
"You have to show you are one of the best players.
"This team has great character. That is so important. When you play well, it is easy to win.
"But sometimes you have to be mentally strong. Normally at 2-0 down it is over.
"But this team has belief. We were solid and we won."
Davids also believes his move to Spurs has won him his place back in the Holland squad.
The former Ajax and Internazionale ace has been recalled to the Dutch fold for the first time in over a year for next week's World Cup qualifiers against Czech Republic and Macedonia.
"When I was at Inter Milan I was not in the first team," added Davids.
"That was the reason I was not selected by country. Now I am playing regularly for Spurs and I believe I can retain my place in the Holland squad.
"Obviously, it helps I am playing in a good winning side. It helps a lot internationally."
