The Polish star left Pride Park on transfer deadline day to join Tottenham, but he has barely figured since his switch - playing just three games.
Rasiak is believed to be concerned at his lack of playing time, with the World Cup just six months away.
Derby's director of football Murdo MacKay confirmed The Rams are keeping close tabs on their former striker.
"Rumours are abound regarding Grzegorz," said MacKay.
"He isn't playing and has the World Cup just around the corner.
"That's a situation we're looking at closely but there is an immense amount of hurdles to overcome if that ever becomes a reality.
"The most important thing is to give Phil (Brown) the squad he wants, the quality of players he wants and allow him to work with that."
MacKay also confirmed that the club will look to seal a permanent deal for on loan Middlesbrough defender Andrew Davies.
"Andrew Davies wants to stay but it's whether Middlesbrough are willing to sell him or not. I have had a conversation with them this week and I've got a rough idea of where we're at," he continued.
"He is on loan to the end of the season and they've got an option to recall him, but we hope they won't."
One Boro star unlikely to stay at Derby is Danny Graham.
The England youth international has not yet started during his loan spell and he is now likely to return with a view to moving elsewhere.
