Jenas relives Chelsea miss

Jermaine Jenas has relived the chance that cost Tottenham a sensational result.

Jermaine Jenas has relived the chance that cost Tottenham a sensational result at Chelsea on Saturday.

The Spurs midfielder grabbed an equaliser for Martin Jol's side but should have put the visitors ahead when clean through and latching onto Ledley King's through ball with time running out.

Petr Cech managed to block the goalbound effort, much to Jenas's frustration, and Spurs' woe was compounded when William Gallas produced a spectacular injury time winner for the champions.

"I think Petr Cech did well," the former Newcastle United ace told Sky Sports.

"He didn't really commit himself.

"The ball was pretty central in my body, so I tried to open up. Thinking about it afterwards, you go through a number of things what you probably would have done and should have done.

"But I'll learn from it and it was great to get in the position I was in, in the first place, but it would have been nice to put it away."

The 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge was followed by Arsenal's win over Liverpool that leaves The Gunners only two points behind their North London rivals in the battle for fourth spot.
