Jermaine Jenas has joined Tottenham team-mate Robbie Keane in the treatment room, with the midfielder likely to miss the rest of the year.
The former Newcastle man damaged his ankle against Arsenal last week and manager Martin Jol feels he will be sidelined for the next month.
"Jenas took a blow to his ankle again and will be out for four weeks," Jol told reporters on Thursday.
The Dutch tactician feels The Football Association were correct to charge Spurs with failing to control their players against Middlesbrough.
A mass brawl ensued towards the end of Spurs' 2-1 win over Boro and Jol feels the authorities need to clamp down on such indiscretions.
"You cannot have mass brawls on the pitch because if they start fighting it is a bad example for the supporters," Jol said.
"We had a similar situation against Blackburn and then we got a warning.
"I have told the players if they do it again we will get a fine and they will have to pay for it the next time. I cannot expect the club to be punished for the things we do on the pitch."
