Poulsen: We need to score

Christian Poulsen says Sevilla need to score to pip Spurs in Thursday's Uefa Cup tie.

Sevilla's Christian Poulsen believes his side will need to score at least once at White Hart Lane if they are to pip Tottenham to a place in the Uefa Cup semi-finals.

Sevilla lead 2-1 from the first leg and the Danish international says the reigning champions have no intention of sitting back in Thursday's quarter-final second leg clash.

"The English style of play is very fast and strong. They (Spurs) are a team with very good attacking players and I think we need to score one or two goals," Poulsen told the Spanish club's official website.

"We will need to score in London because it is very difficult to play out a 0-0.

"Sevilla's style is not to play for a 0-0 but to go forward, and we are going to continue like that."

Apart from the Uefa Cup, Juande Ramos' men are still in the hunt for two more trophies this season - the Liga title and Copa del Rey.

In the league they are a point behind leaders Barcelona and meet Deportivo La Coruna in the semi-finals of the cup, with the first leg taking place next week.
