Frenchman targets Champions League place

Tottenham midfielder Adel Taarabt has set his sights on finishing in the top four of the Premier League. Spurs have already lost three times this season and their lowly position in the table has put pressure on manager Martin Jol. But Taarabt is still confident of a successful campaign and predicts there could be UEFA Champions League football at White Hart Lane next term. "It is difficult because Tottenham want to play in the Champions League next season," the Frenchman told Sky Sports News. "I think it is possible to finish in the top four teams this season."

Jol support

Taarabt has also backed beleaguered boss Jol to turn the club's fortunes around. "I'm happy working with Martin. The press are a problem but I have no problem." Asked whether all the players were behind Jol, the 18-year-old added: "I think so, yes."
