Tottenham Hotspur boss Juande Ramos has rejected claims that he is set to send Younes Kaboul out on loan.
The summer signing from Auxerre has not travelled with the squad for the Uefa Cup clash against Anderlecht, sparking rumours that the defender is out of favour with manager Ramos.
Spurs are currently short on numbers at the back, and Kaboul's absence from the squad has done little to the quell speculation.
However, Ramos insists he is happy with Kaboul and says the 21-year-old centre-back will not be sent out on loan in January.
"I don't know why I would send Kaboul out on loan," he said.
"He is our player and we are very satisfied and happy he is with us. We have a squad and we have to try and let all of the players play, participate and feel important.
"I don't think Kaboul is depressed. He is a young lad who is very focused and with lots of desire. I am convinced he is looking forward to playing again and he has the quality to do so."
Left-back Gareth Bale has also been ruled out of Thursday's clash, but Jermaine Jenas is back after an ankle injury.
