Tottenham starlet Tomas Pekhart is hopeful he can help Southampton move up the Championship table.
The Czech striker is on loan at St Mary's from Spurs until January.
Pekhart has scored once from his three appearances so far at Southampton and he is keen on showing his ability.
"I was under pressure even before I kicked the ball here," he told Denik Sport.
"The press were writing I was a 'goal-machine' and that kind of things. So, I hope the fans are satisfied."
Pekhart admits Southampton's young side have struggled at times.
"The team is very young, as do not have many experienced players here," he said.
"Those, who play, are talented but you always need an experienced leader. We have the potential to play well, we just need to start winning."
Pekhart admits he is delighted to be out on loan getting some first-team experience.
"I wanted to leave the club [Spurs] a year ago but I was not released. I needed badly to get a chance of playing for a first team somewhere," he continued.
"I wanted to go on a year-long loan but Tottenham wanted only a half-year one. If I do well, they can call me back or send me on loan to some other Championship club."
Pekhart admits he was disappointed not to find himself in the first-team reckoning at White Hart Lane.
"I was playing a friendly game [in pre-season] and scored twice. I thought it might be good and that I made the best of the chance given to me," he said.
"In the next game though, I was not even on the bench. There was no explanation.
"After that game I decided to go through the Tottenham pre-season and I missed the Under 19 European Championship.
"I put everything on my Tottenham future but it headed to nothing, so I decided to leave on loan."
