Didier Zokora has backed under-fire Tottenham manager Juande Ramos, of the opinion Spurs are too good to go down.
The North London club have endured their worst start to a season since 1912, a run of results which has increased the pressure on Ramos' job at White Hart Lane.
Despite sitting rock bottom of the table Zokora insists there is no chance of the club suffering relegation.
"When we win a game I'm sure the confidence will come back," Zokora is quoted as saying in The Mirror. "I'm a very ambitious player and never think about relegation - for me that is impossible."
Ivory Coast international Zokora has also thrown his support behind Ramos, believing he is the man to turn the club's fortunes around.
"When Ramos came in, we won the Carling Cup and the team beat Arsenal 5-1, but at the moment it is difficult for him as we have only got two points.
"The manager wants to help and give motivation to the players and the team. He was still positive after the game as we worked hard and had opportunities to score.
"I want to play well for Tottenham and the chairman will make a decision on the team. That is not my job.
"At the start, people were saying we could make the top five or six but now that is very difficult."
