Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has revealed his frustration following his side's 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Tuesday.
Spurs looked to be on course for victory when Rafael van der Vaart put Harry Redknapp's team ahead at White Hart Lane.
But Asamoah Gyan's instant response ensured the Black Cats returned to Wearside with a point after keeper Craig Gordon had kept them in the affair.
And Gomes was left to rue the performance of his opposition number, who helped extend Spurs' run without a win to four matches.
"It's not easy when you work so hard to score and then straight after they equalise," Gomes told the club's official website.
"Sunderland worked so hard against us and their goalkeeper was on fire in the first half.
"That always seems to happen here. The opposition goalkeepers always make it difficult for us.
"We managed to get 1-0 up but conceded so soon after and then couldn't score again. It was frustrating because we want to win these home games."
Spurs sit sixth in the Premier League despite the setback, although fans booed their team off the pitch at the final whistle.
Redknapp's side qualified for the Champions League last season and with expectations stacked at a similar height, his players know they must get back to winning ways.
Gomes felt there was little wrong with the display against Steve Bruce's men and the Brazilian keeper insisted his team-mates remained upbeat about their prospects.
"We have to keep going," added the 29-year-old. "Confidence is still high because we know we are playing well.
"We didn't play badly against Sunderland, we just conceded that goal straight after and that was the problem.
"We have to learn from that and move straight on to the next game."
