Iker Casillas insists Real Madrid will be treating Tottenham with the utmost respect despite their imposing UEFA Champions League lead.
The Spanish giants made the most of Peter Crouch's early dismissal to run out comfortable 4-0 winners over the Londoners in the first leg of their quarter-final on Tuesday.
One could forgive Real for treating their trip to White Hart Lane as nothing more than a routine outing, but Casillas insists they will stay focused.
In 2004 Real topped Monaco 4-2 on home soil, but were undone in the away leg as a 3-1 defeat saw the Ligue 1 side progress on the away goals rule.
Casillas is wary of another slip-up and knows his team-mates will not allow complacency into their game and that they will finish the job next week.
"We're not guaranteed a place in the Champions League semi-finals," explained Casillas.
"The scoreline is very good in our favour, but Tottenham are still a good team and they are not out yet.
"It's important to remain vigilant in these situations and avoid complacency in London.
"We had a similar situation against Monaco and this ended with our elimination.
"In London it'll be key to score one goal. We must forget about our 4-0 lead. We always respect our opponents."
