Midfielder used as a bait in negotiations for Parker

Skysports.com understands Tottenham have offered Jake Livermore to West Ham on a season-long loan as part of ongoing negotiations to sign Scott Parker. England international Parker was not included in Sunday's victory at Nottingham Forest as talks with Premier League Spurs continued. But West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has said he wants to keep the former Charlton, Chelsea and Newcastle player. Discussions are ongoing and Livermore is understood to be part of Tottenham's attempt to get their man. The 21-year-old has previously taken in six loan spells away from White Hart Lane, but he said earlier in August he was eager for a run in the Spurs first team. Livermore scored in Tottenham's first leg win at Hearts in the Europa League play-offs and also played in the return meeting. He started in Spurs' 3-0 loss at Manchester United last week and was a second-half substitute in Sunday's 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.
