Hornets keeper generating plenty of interest

Skysports.com understands a number of clubs are closely monitoring Watford's highly-rated goalkeeper Scott Loach. The 23-year-old has spent the last three years at Vicarage Road, allowing him to take in regular first-team football and work on his game. He is now widely recognised as one of the finest shot-stoppers outside of the Premier League, with his talent catching the eye of England coach Fabio Capello - who included him in two senior squads in 2010. Top flight bosses are now lining up to run an eye over Loach and his obvious potential. Tottenham are reported to have held a long-standing interest in his services and Harry Redknapp could make a move in January if Heurelho Gomes is shown the door at White Hart Lane. Several other Premier League sides are understood to be plotting New Year moves, while a collection of clubs in the Championship are also hoping that they can tempt the former Morecambe and Bradford keeper with the offer of a guaranteed No.1 spot. Loach remains fully focused on his game for now, though, and will be determined to maintain the high standards he has set, with his recent showings for the Hornets suggesting he is on top of his game.
